Create a Portal
Creating different Portals in VIDIZMO allows you to provide a single installation of dedicated multi-tenant portals, with complete media and user segregation that provides portal-level autonomy for defining all portal management policies, branding, streaming, etc. to meet department-specific privacy, security and compliance needs.
Prerequisites
- You must have Portal Management permissions
- Your account must have available portal slots (based on your subscription plan)
Steps to Create a Portal
Step 1: Navigate to All Portals
- Click the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner to expand the navigation panel.
- Click on Portals to expand the portals section.
- Select All Portals from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Open the Portal Creation Page
The All Portals page lists all portals associated with your account. Select New Portal to open the portal creation page.
Note: If you have reached your portal creation limit, the New Portal button is not displayed.
Step 3: Portal Creation
The Create Your Portal page consists of three tabs:

Tab 1: Domain Selection
In this tab, you configure your portal's display name and URL structure.

In the Portal Name field, enter a descriptive name for your portal. This field is required.

Select Domain Type to create the portal. VIDIZMO offers three domain configuration options:
- Select Directory to create the portal as a directory path under your main domain (e.g.,
domain.vidizmo.com/yourportal). - Select Subdomain to create portal as (e.g.,
yourportal.domain.vidizmo.com). - Select Custom Domain to configure the portal with your own custom domain (e.g.,
portal.yourdomain.com).
Note: Custom domains require additional DNS configuration.

In the Subdomain Name field, enter your preferred subdomain name.

Enable Always use HTTPS to ensure all connections to the portal are secure.

Select Next to continue to the Portal Settings step.

Tab 2: Portal Settings
Configure content management and moderation preferences for your portal.

Enable Allow Comments to let users post comments on published media.
- Enable Allow Comment Moderation to require moderator approval for all comments before they are visible.

Enable the Allow Content Moderation to enforce content moderation for all files uploaded to the portal.

Enable Allow Sharing to permit users to share content on social media platforms.

Select Mark as Featured to display the portal in the Featured Portals section on the homepage.

Select Next to continue to the Security Policy configuration.

Tab 3: Security Policy
Define who can access the portal and view its content.

Select the appropriate security type: Public, Internal, Restricted, Hidden, or Custom.

Public: Select this option if you want anyone to access the portal and view content without authentication.

Internal: Select this to restrict access to only authenticated users within your account.

Restricted: Choose this to limit access to users explicitly granted membership.

Hidden: Select Hidden to make the portal unlisted in directories; users must have a direct link to access it.

Custom: Choose Custom to define your own combination of access settings based on your requirements.

In the Viewing Access section, define who can view published media in the portal.

In the Portal Access Type section, configure options for anonymous access, listing visibility, and join requests.

In the Auto Approve Requests section, set how join requests are processed: All, None, or Trusted Domains.

In the User Participation section, define who can upload and contribute content to the portal.

Select Done to create the portal and save all settings.

Portal Created Successfully
After clicking Done, the system creates your portal and displays a success confirmation. Select here link to navigate to your new portal.
You will also receive an email confirmation containing the portal access link.
